Cardiacs "Family" of bands/artists

I know we touched upon some in the other Cardiacs thread, but I figured it would be easier to separate these two threads. So I'm thinking of bands/artists that have spawned as a result or have some sort of connection with Cardiacs/Tim i.e. Knifeworld, North Sea Radio Orchestra, Stars in Battledress, etc etc..........

There seems to be a microcosm of music existing within these realms. So go right ahead and fire away. I guess I'll start with a cat named Sterbus who has crafted these two fine gems:

Lots of great bands in the Cardiacs family. I'm a huge fan of Kavus Torabi's projects (eagerly awaiting the new Knifeworld!) and I also really enjoy what I've heard from the aforementioned Sterbus and NSRO. Still need to check out Stars in Battledress. I've heard a lot of good things about their latest album, so I think I'll get that one soon.

William D. Drake's The Rising of the Lights, the only solo album of his that I have, is stellar.

Thanks for this, Kavus; I thought I wouldn't like it during the first minute or so but I got roped in by the interesting chord changes and great vocals. Pretty sweet stuff and I will definitely check out more from these two.

As for your band, Knifeworld, this recent upload from the forthcoming album really tickles me and reminds me somewhat of Mike Keneally, guitar-wise. Great song, man!

If Kavus was a member of Cardiacs (si) and if being a member of Cardiacs makes additional things this person does a member of the Cardiacs 'family' of bands (apparently oui), then you should also include:

Guapo and Chrome Hoof are musically unconnected though. I don't think anyone apart from Emmett and Chloe had actually heard Cardiacs in Chrome Hoof.
Ditto Stump.
I am friends with Kev from Stump and he told me he only heard Cardiacs pretty recently.

Usually the bands would have played with Cardiacs and/or made records produced by Tim.
See also Scaramanga Six and Oceansize and Lake Of Puppies.
Also Wildhearts/ Ginger's many, many projects.

James Larcombe mastered The Garage Concerts.
They're one of Tim's all time favourite bands.
Richard and James both play in William D Drake's band.
Very much part of our freak show circle of close friends.
