    Bathtubs Over Broadway

"Bathtubs Over Broadway" is a 2018 documentary film just out on Netflix (well, in the UK). It's about industrial musicals, private shows put on by US companies for their own staff in the '50s/'60s/'70s. So Broadway-style songs about selling refrigerators. In terms of the music, this may or may not be of interest to you! But, actually, the film is also about what it means to collect a rare musical genre, so I think people here may find it resonates on that level.

I saw it when it came out. It is extremely interesting.

This rings home with how much creativity gets lost. Music no longer available, great movies that we no longer have a master copy for (this one kills me), performance art that never got captured on film, etc. There are probably albums in my collection that myself and the mother of the lead singer are the only ones with copies anymore :-)

Indeed. Like the Scottish Ballet shows with music by Jon and (separately) Ian Anderson: http://www.tullpress.com/dp19oct79.htm At least the music for Jon's surfaced and can be found online.

OK, so if I were in a record store, you know back in the day when there WERE record stores to be in, and I came across an album with that name as a group it would be an auto buy!!! NO question! Its why I opened the thread in the first place
