Yes. It's Yes, Glass Hammer, UK (with Eddie Jobson, John Wetton, Terry Bozzio and Alex Machacek), Steve Hackett's Genesis Revisited II project, the Carl Palmer Trio, Nektar, Tangerine Dream, IOEarth, Saga, Zebra and Heavy Mellow.

No? I saw him in the picture on the site so I was going to ask if he was going. I suppose if I was going to go on a cruise this would have the entertainment I prefer... when you're stuck on a cruise with bad entertainment that can be a real bummer. But then again I like swimming with stingrays and all you can eat lobster buffets so cruises are ok with me... putting aside what this represents to some people. I really don't care. I'd go to see Steve Hackett and band alone. (that said I think I'm going to the LA show).

I sat next to a couple last night at Uriah Heep who are going on the cruise. Big prog fans of the old school. I was wearing a Glass Hammer shirt & they had no idea who they were. I told them they will in the spring for sure

The cruise organisers are talking as if this will be an annual event, and it appears several significant acts were turned down this time, so presumably might be interested in 2014.

Thanks for the clarification Henry. Doesnt really matter who announced first - my only point was that there are now multiple prog cruises, just like the metal cruises. And this mello cruise looks pretty cool, actually.

zebra? they're more of a metal band than a prog band, IMO. I'm a Zebra fan from '83 - present and I've never considered them to be a prog band.
Not prog, but they sure do seem to be appreciated by a lot of prog fans, so it makes good sense to me. I remember them saying that the La La Song was directly inspired by Yes...I don't hear the similarities too much, but still love what I hear! After Yes and Hackett (okay, and Palmer's trio), Zebra would be one of the biggest draws for me on this Cruise, were I going.
It's not really billed as a prog cruise (even though that's what it is), and it was probably smart to throw something in for the arena-rock side of Yes' fanbase-- just like the Moodies cruise has a couple soft-rock acts.

Zebra is a great band, not 100% prog but prog influenced. They certainly aren't "Metal" either though. I think they fit in quite nicely into the line-up. If I were going on the cruise, they'd be my number 3 or 4 band too.
You mean, other than them? I seriously have always loved the Moodies, but soft pop/prog is what they are imo.

True, but while most of the Moodies support bands are on the softer side of prog (Zombies, Greg Lake, Acoustic Strawbs), there are a couple with no real prog connections-- Little River Band and Stephen Bishop.
Yeah, Zebra is AOR, as is Saga really, imho, but great bands that proggers (especially some from the Yes side that aren't hard core) should enjoy seeing. I'm really looking forward to both bands. I mean really, how "prog" is Tangerine Dream, for that matter.
