Ya think? I thought we would too, but it's not looking likely. Is Feb too late to do a best of 2012 poll?

They call it a top 100 and then cheat by listing multiple ties?

I thought someone was taking the counts in that thread

yeah, the list in PA is the Collabs' list... it's not an open voting one

Definitely not too late, it means there has been time to digest those late Dec releases.

I kept score in the thread we have up here and listed out the results.

If you have polls functionality switched on here a 2012 best of would probably be a good one to start with

It figures that those clowns at PA would list the title first and then the artist.

I found that a bit perplexing, and didn't change it when I copy/pasted, because the excel table it was set on made it very messy in PE language... Did you have to say "clowns", though??

    It's defintely not too late

PA's vote ended on Jan 31st, to allow for these late releases to be "digested"...

BTW, the top choice in a list was worth 20 pts, the second 18pts, etc... Ties meant that the points were shared (ex: a three-way tie for third place meant that each album received 14, instead of 16, 14 and 12 for 3rd, 4th & 5th...a two-way tie for third place meant 15 pts, instead of 16 & 14 respectively for third and 4th spots)

it's funny, but Pepe Deluxe would actually finish higher on a college-rock/hipster forum's polls than on a prog board, LOL.

I checked to PA listing for 2012 today again and the new Russian band 'Iamthemorning' is now listed second with an average rating of 4.42! whats going on here?

I have never heared of this band, but I checked their website and their album is available for free. Very enjoyable neo-classical/chamber pop. I dunno if this extrenely high rating on PA is justified but it is certainly worth checking out.

Ok, you've checked out the contually-changing TOP PA list for 2012... as more ratings for these albums are added, that site list will change for years to come >>> this is like RYM's top XXXX lists >> they will keep evolving with time

What I posted here is the PA collab Top list for 2012 with the vote closed on Jan 31st...
