...which is going to make holding on to a player like Joe Pavelski a tough proposition, especially if the news of the salary cap being lower than expected for next season is true.

Rangers/Devils rivalry is going to be something to watch in the coming years. Isles too, for that matter.

You aint kiddin! With Subban now a Devil, that seriously ramps up the irritating factor

I LOVE that we got Kaako...kid is impressive.

Rangers an Devils didn't get flashy and took the two best players. The Isles already turned the corner this year. All three teams good at the same time? Is it October yet?

I expect Kakko to jump in with 25-30 goals in year 1.

Looks like the 'Rangers South' tattoo is fading for the Bolts, Callahan done, Miller traded (can't say I'm upset about that), Stralman likely gone or done.

    We'll take Zibanejad next, please.

I think Zib is here to stay. Miller was an incredibly frustrating player here in NY...he'd have a great game where it seems he'd be involved in every play. Then the next 3 games you wouldn't know he was in the line-up. Potential for sure, but so inconsistent. I hope you're right about Kaako!

I guess the Preds saw in Subban what the Habs saw: Selfish player. We got Weber out of that deal and a lot of people thought the Habs brass was insane...

Cannot believe what he's getting paid. But then I take a look at what Philly is paying Kevin Hayes and it makes sense.

Big news/surprise of the day is the Habs sending the RFA offer sheet to Sebastian Aho. Interesting to see how this plays out...

Excellent player but he's getting crazy money for seven years. Oh wait, maybe I need a different adjective because the NBA already has the lock on crazy stupid money (see Kevin Durant)

Brock Nelson is only getting (over) paid due to Philly overpaying Hayes!!

    Barzal needs a real winger...pronto.. .

Less than what he was projected to get actually. He really wanted to come to NY apparently. I absolutely love this signing...to finally have a pure goal scorer gives me the tingles

Jimme Vesey goes to Buffalo for a draft pick in 2021. He was a disappointment.

Dare I say it, but it looks like the Rangers have a team!

IMHO, if Panarin was looking for cash, NY and a center to feed him quality goal scoring opps, the Isles and Barzal would have satisfied that.

Great signing by blueshirts. Wanted him for Isles at deadline and again in FA.

He can also make plays on his own...I don't remember the last time we had a player who could do this

    Varlamov is a great goalie...when he's healthy.

Aggressive move for sure. They are banking on the Canes not matching the offer as it is top heavy. Bergevin has taken the gloves off. He knows this could be his final season if he doesn't get us in the playoffs.

Do NOT make an offer sheet to Point or I will be forced to cheer for the Bruins against you.

    Yes, it’s that serious.

Apparently the Canes will match the offer made by the Habs....
