Cracking win for Italy, France look like the favorites but it should be wide open.

Can we stop this train before it leaves the station please? I don't think Ian started this thread for the discussion to go in this direction. Thank you.

Swiss threw away a win there by taking their foot off the gas. Nice Welsh goal but they should have already been killed off.

Apparently both the Danish and Finnish players requested the game be restarted.

Good start for the Devils, though it came at a price: Castagne won't play another match in the tournament.

well I understand the outrage by some, but ultimately it was the right thing to do, even if the obviously stronger Denmark paid a double price at the end of the day

The penalty shouldn't have been allowed (WTF with the VAR??), so it's justice that the keeper stopped it.

Good win for England, not very convincing but Croatia are pretty good and we have poor form against them. Neat and tidy and not too many clangers.

Wasn't that England's first opening game win in a while in any international tournament?

England was rubbish! Typical Beeb praise! If the great pundits from the 70's & 80's ( Clough, Saint, Greavsie et al), had of been on the panel they would have told it like it is! Bringing on Rashord, who any Man U fan will tell you is rubbish! Only creative player is Grealish and never got a look in. Said it earlier, Southgate hasn't got a creative bone in his body. Should have got rid after the last World Cup!

That was fine. The next two should be easier for you. Wish it weren't so, but I think you're in a good place in the group round now.

Well Netherlands escaped with the win after a real scare. Great fight back from Ukraine after showing nothing.
