I'm kind of surprised I didn't chile in outside my two joke post early on....
Difficult to say which was my first rock concert and in which chronology, but there is 95% chance that it was a high-school concert circa 75 or 76, and I can't remember if it would be Goddo or Rush (a power trio of that ilk anyways) or maybe Max Webster, or even a Québécois artiste while going to the French High-school of Toronto... It's getting pretty blurry now.
let's just say that the first "real" concert I did go to was Rush at Massey Hall in 76... the gig that ended on the All The World (so that takes care of the "prog or rock" issue).
I did keep most of the ticket stubs in a wooden whisky box, but that got lost in my transatlantic move. Ever since moving back in Europe, I still keep a loose file with whatever ticket stubs I happen to keep or hang on to, whenever there is one available, but I never take a look inside
my music collection increased tenfolds when I switched from drug-addicts to complete nutcases.
My first concert was classical (Tschaikovsky) in June 1975, followed two months later with Earth And Fire in Sarasani on the island Texel.
Here's a rare performance of the band from the same year:
I was 15 at that time.
