Looks like Scott Henderson got Billy Cobham to play for the South Amerrican tour and they can still call themselves HBC.

I saw them last year and it was Henderson, Berlin and Mike Clark (Herbie Hancock's Headhunters, Brand X ) on drums. Lucky for Scott and Jeff that there's that many qualified drummers who's last names start with "C."

If push came to shove he could get Carola Grey.

Mike also played on Jeff Berlin's 2013 release Low Standards, which I have yet to purchase. Many of the bands I want to see do not come to San Antonio, Texas where I live. Last two times I saw Holdsworth, the shows were in Austin. Thankfully he has some connection with North Texas University and I decent fanbase in Houston and Austin.

Too bad, they must not know about your beautiful Riverwalk (I play there about once a year or so).

    or Vinnie Colaiuta
Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?

Ah, it's just a pop/rock cover band, albeit a somewhat high profile one. Nothing I'd encourage my "muso" buds to check out, although the troops (who we often play for) love us.

Thanks for posting. A friend who has known Dennis for decades sat at the same table with him at the Cobham show in DC and didn't even recognize him.

The ICU episode was almost two years ago. Dr. Chambers has been plenty active - and looking great - for some time. He was out of hospital as of 2014 sometime, actually. On tour with Maceo, funkin' it up in his inimitable way since late last year, i think. Yay
