A tour, plus another rock album with vocals would be quite welcome! I actually like his voice, and, as much as I enjoy his PP&P albums, I can only listen to so much acoustic guitar before I lose interest
Also a fan of Anthony's vocal/song-oriented albums. While the PP&P albums all deserve to be heard, I need another vocals album to satisfy my AP craving.
A long time fave of mine. Michael Giles & John G Perry are a great rhythm section. My-T-Fine Ant stuff!
Sleeping at home is killing the hotel business!
Good album. Bleak House is a nice tune.
My fave album from him, I think. Love "Nightmare", one of his most rocking numbers. Compare with "Exocet" on the Invisible Men album.
For me, by far his worst album.
One of AP's best.
"Madgalen" is probably my single favorite track in Ant's catalogue.
'Sisters of Remindum' and 'Souvenir' are my favorites from this one. I do like the entire 2nd half as well. He does have a vocal album he's working on, and hopefully it doesn't sound like 'Invisible Men'.
I miss his rock guitar playing. Another album like Sides or Wise After the Event would be fine with me.
"Improvisation is not an excuse for musical laziness" - Fred Frith
"[...] things that we never dreamed of doing in Crimson or in any band that I've been in," - Tony Levin speaking of SGM
This is a delightful album IMHO. I do find the drumming on 'Nightmare' to be way over the top, but it's a great track that slowly builds in tension.
I like this album, it's got an interesting feel to it. Not as consistent as Wise, but some good tracks nonetheless. Vocals are kinda weak.
As for the reissues, I hate to be the guy to say it, but this is at least the 3rd time AP's catalog has been reissued on CD. Yawn.
