The thread is titled "Rock/Prog Songs Mentioning Jesus in the Lyrics or Title". Gabriel references the Book of Revelations - which addresses the Second Coming of (Jesus) Christ) - but the name "Jesus" does not specifically appear in Supper's Ready either in the title, or in the lyrics.

    Linda Perry, Uninvited.

    I believe in Jesus
    Does Jesus believe in me?

I think about five other people than me have ever heard this song. The album, In Flight, is fantastic. Kevin Gilbert played keys and guitars on it.

He (Jesus) is refered to in SUPPER'S READY as "Lord of Lord, King of Kings".

Well, that's more than a bit obvious who Gabriel is referring to isn't it? Albeit NOT BY NAME.

The Blue Nile "Peace at Last"

There was a song I remember when I was a little kid listening to the radio:

"...one toke over the line sweet Jesus one toke over the line
sitting downtown in a railway station..."

I think those are the correct words?

My Sweet Lord doesn't because it refers to Krishna

Technically, My Sweet Lord probably doesn't qualify because it does not mention Jesus by name. However the occurrence of "Hallelujah" alongside "Hare Krishna" suggests Harrison was singing about religious devotion in general, not just the Hindu religion. Hence he probably had Jesus in mind, as well as Krishna, Buddha, Muhammed and other deities and prophets.

I find that assumption a bit tenuous - every other reference in the refrain is to Hinduism and Hallelujah simply means praise the Lord and predates Christianity.

George was also a supporter of ISKCON

    Hm, my lord (hallelujah)
My, my, my lord (hare krishna)
    My sweet lord (hare krishna)
    My sweet lord (krishna krishna)
    My lord (hare hare)
    Hm, hm (Gurur Brahma)
    Hm, hm (Gurur Vishnu)
    Hm, hm (Gurur Devo)
    Hm, hm (Maheshwara)
    My sweet lord (Gurur Sakshaat)
    My sweet lord (Parabrahma)
My, my, my lord (Tasmayi Shree)
My, my, my, my lord (Guruve Namah)

To comment on this topic, i.e. songs that deal with religion, I have no particular problem with people being open about their faith in their songs. It only becomes a problem when they come across as preachy, or when the message is seen as so important to the song that the music is just saccharine.

For a devoutly Christian number that comes as close as you can get to being prog, seek out "Psalm One-Five-O" by Jimmy Webb.

No one has yet mentioned "Superstar" by Murray Head, perhaps because it was too obvious?

Expanding up this, the parenthetical lines above are often referred to as the "Hare Krishna mantra" or "Maha Mantra" and are a specific prayer or mantra in Hinduism.

I'd be more inclined to agree with jode, in that the lines above are more bridging Christianity with Hinduism than making a statement about general religion.
