    Rival Sons-Great Western Valkyrie

The best rock album I've heard in the last 10 years!

Doing well in the UK charts! Are the Americans also digging this American band?

I will get this for sure. I'm a huge fan of their last album Head Down. Great straight forward hard rock with a tasty 70's style vibe.

Defo like being in a 70's time warp but that's no bad thing. Great songs, great hooks with some cool rock ballads thrown in. Oozes quality! !

I have not gotten it yet, but will for sure. Yup, I agree, these guys are THE BEST straight up rock n roll band out there right now. Anyone who thinks there is no good rock n roll being done any more should check these guys out.

I agree. I'll also add Black Stone Cherry and The Answer as modern bands that are doing some kickass rock 'n' roll. Will get this one for sure.

This doesn't come out until Tuesday 7/8/14 in the States but I will be picking it up for sure. Their meat & potatoes style of rock n roll is totally in my wheelhouse.

I like both Black Stone Cherry and The Answer as well, but I honestly think Rival Suns is a step above both of those.

Oh, I don't disagree with you about Rival Sons being a step above. I just added those two bands as contemporary bands that are making kickass rock 'n' roll as well.

Yup, I would also throw in Howlin Rain, The Parlour Mob, Gaslight Anthem, lots of good young rock n roll out there these days.

FYI, there is a feature on the latest Classic Rock mag, with a featured free CD (called RnR Excerpts)...

I spinned this a couple of times.... seems like they're heavily inspired on some 70's stalwarts >> one track is a blatant Zep rip-off
my music collection increased tenfolds when I switched from drug-addicts to complete nutcases.

Yes, there's a couple of tracks very close to the LZ bone. Being the big LZ fan I am it's vety welcome!
