Oh, and Mr. Big; they certainly rocked in their original incarnation.
Absolutely, all 3 are hard rock IMO.

OK, Heart circa 1979. I actually did not attend the concert but lived close enough at the time to the small arena to hear every note.

Besides Pete Laramee solo from Kurgans Bane the only closest thing would be Yngwie Johan Malmsteen. Both Pete and Jeff Laramee were there. Jeff said the first twenty minutes I would think he's the greatest guitarist ever, and after that I would want to climb out the closest window and run like hell. He was right.

I also did see about three or four songs by Robin Trower until my ears started bleeding. A lot of bands listed I have seen but don't consider hard rock: Steve Miller, Molly Hatchet, Rush, Kansas, P Tree, Dream Theater...

I saw the pairing of Black Sabbath and Aerosmith at MSG when I was what, 14, so must've been around 1973. The little I remember (and please, if you were there, help me refresh my memory) includes some idiot throwing a firecracker that landed on the stage and iirc (which is unlikely) Ozzy telling the crowd to "find the fucker who threw that".

I compelled my wife to see Dream Theater at the Orpheum ca. 2003 or so. Three hours we'll never get back. They played Metallica's Master of Puppets in its entirety with (iirc...see above) that band's drummer guesting. Not my cuppa.
