Best cd version of Running Man (Ray Russell)

    Hi folks,

Any advise of the sound of the different cd editions of this album?

At least, I know 4 different version.

    Repertoire 4471-WP CD (1988)
    WorldWide Records SPM-WWR-CD-005 (1993)
Angel Air Records SJPCD 199 CD (2005)
Japanese mini lp AIR MAIL (I suppose the sound will be crap)

    Thanks in advance,

    Alex

Does anyone know which cd edition is better? Angel Air or old Repertoire?

I used to have the Repertoire version, and at least it sounded way better than the Akarma vinyl boot I bought after having sold the CD. Never heard any other CD rendition, though.

Funny; I was actually thinking about this record earlier this afternoon. It's quite good musically, but as a general artistic statement it is outright interesting. Very few others would think of merging Procol'ish proto-progressive tunes and raw, rabid free jazz trackings. Very peculiar, but then again Mr. Russell is something else altogether. I always liked his work and approach, and I must pull this one out again soon.
