Never having heard of Floating Points, I listened because of the Pharaoh Sanders contribution. I was completely transfixed by this. The seven-note motif that repeats throughout the piece just grabbed me from the beginning and held it all together. Admittedly, Sanders can do no wrong and fit so perfectly with this piece. Instantly bought the download.

A new release by Guapo members : The Holy Family

    According to Kavus Torabi:
Out in July on @rocket_recordings the debut double album by The Holy Family. The band is made up of the final line up of Guapo- David J Smith, Emmett Elvin, Sam Warren, Michael York and myself. During recording, it soon became clear we were not making a Guapo album. So happy with this record, can’t wait for you to hear it.

You listen to that one track and it's pretty clear why they decided it's not Guapo.

It sounds like the soundtrack to the PS1 Spyro games by Stewart Copeland by way of Guapo's Elixirs.

New Mollestad sounds like everything I like about Rypdal without everything I dislike about Rypdal. Great stuff.

Like it very much. She's got the right feel for the guitar riff and playing.
