A good rock/metal band from Costa Rica: first full album!.
“Throughout almost 2 years of work, Delirare independently recorded and produced their first album "Rising" that premiered on June 7, 2019 on digital platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube.”
LP directly from the band: great art work IMO!.

New stuff in the Hilltop household:
Warmrain - Back above the clouds. Floyd influenced for sure, but a really decent debut nonetheless
Coma Rossi - S/T. Indian prog, another very good debut - will appeal to Porcupine Tree fans
Quantum Fantay - Yemaya Orisha. Wonderful Belgian spacerock.
Antoine Fafard - Borromean Odyssey. Fusion with Gary Husband & Todd Sucherman
New release on Bandcamp from the wonderful talent of Sarah Longfield: this is a collection of 3 of her older works onto one CD:

De Lorians
https://deloriansbbib.bandcamp.com/album/de-lorians
released July 26, 2019
"...and sometimes it just turns out that the newest members of the freak music family are a bunch of long-haired Japanese twenty-somethings playing Zappa-loving Canterbury-inspired blissed-out spiritual jazz rippers. If you had that on your predictions list, right on, you’ll be extra amped. But either way, meet De Lorians, Tokyo’s newest fire music exports, by way of their self-titled debut."

At times I'm reminded in the songwriting of both of IZZ and oddly Coheed and Cambria.

Thanks for the tip. Definitely going to check this one out. Sounds like it could be up my alley.
Also, this quote from the description on their bandcamp page, was quite interesting, I thought: "In a country where piracy and streaming have never overtaken the brick-and-mortar music industry, the members of De Lorians constitute a kind of fundamental music exchange unit that’s largely been disappeared elsewhere in the world."
neil
Yes, good recommendation!
Thanks everyone for the H.U.!
"With the whole album packed into 32 zig-zagging minutes, it’s a compact and powerful first statement for a young band exploding with ideas, and with a lot more under the hood."
And live, they're really good too! (almost three minutes …!):
From YT:

"At De Lorians’ monthly gigs, there are plenty of more surprises, too. There’s ample improvisation, of course, but some nights they disassemble the sections of their songs, piecing them into new suites that might run longer than the length of their studio debut."
Pura Vida!.

Actually, no. Yes, there is a new album (digital only). No, they are not back. This album was recorded shortly after the previous album, but then they disbanded. Last year their keybordist mixed several tracks, sent to former bandmates, they liked and blessed him to mix the rest. Afaik the release of this album was a farewell.
Finally we get some legit CD issues of the Atila Albums from Spain.
They will be on Belle Antique from Japan and so expansive...
This may be more a repackaging than anything else, but if you need the Fruupp albums, it may not be a bad way to go.

The newest one from iamthemorning - The Bell

Halfway through the first song, "Freak Show", I felt goosebumps wash over me for real. For me this hits all the right emotional and music spots. I've listened to all their records up to this point but I have to say they've put out their best record here. Just stunning.
