Thanks Nosebone for the H.U.!: first time here!.

    ----------------------------------

    Also, from Spain (Barcelona):
    - On The Raw just released their second album "Climbing The Air": it´s more eclectic than their first one "Big City Awakes (2017): both are good albums IMO!.
A mix of jazz, progressive rock, latin, electronic and many other influences. -

I thought their first album showed promise... terrible name for a band tho
Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?

    Agree!

I like their second one a little bit more: "Climbing The Air" is more eclectic as I wrote.

^ Apparently they decided to scrap an ongoing project and return to work on sketches of old instead. I'm looking forward to this one.

Snowy White And The White Flames just released a new album called "The Situation".
One of my favorite tracks is "Why Do I Still Have The Blues":

Green Desert Tree - Progressive Worlds

    cover_10420152019_r.jpg

German Neo-Prog in English. On first listen it's pleasant comfort prog with a rock opera storyline going on somewhere in there but I can't make heads or tails of the story. Every song an anthem. Certainly a good listen if you want something you never heard before that fits into your Neo-Prog tastes but I wouldn't call it any sort of musical revelation.

There's a new Pampa Trash album out 'Burzako' and they have an odd way of lauching it. First they announced it was on Spotify, then a week later that it was on Youtube but no mention of a Bandcamp or physical release. I've now found its available as a download on Amazon, but I wonder why they don't promote the paid for options? Anyway good album, on a par with their first. For accordian and tango fans.

New CD from Chester Thompson called Steppin', and he's got Alphonso Johnson on there with him. I ordered it from CD Baby, hasn't arrived yet though!

Two new elephant9 live albums coming at the end of May, recorded during a 4-nights-long residency in Oslo. I was there for 3 of those gigs and oh boy these guys set the house on fire.

    Psychedelic Backfire I

Psychedelic Backfire II (with Reine Fiske from Dungen)

There's also a Psychedelic Backfire III which is going to be vinyl-exclusive and only available with the limited vinyl boxset.

^ oh boy! Sad that PBIII will be vinyl only, but given their tenddecny to only release live albums on vinyl, I'm quite thrilled we get two versions with the wide release.

    excited.

Yeah, that made me preorder the boxset. Can't risk losing the chance to hear it.

I don't know much about this band other than what's up on Bandcamp, and enjoyed listening to them. Sort of metal, electronic progressive, reminded me a bit of Porcupine Tree somewhat maybe.
