The Future Sound Of London - Yage 2019

    https://www.fsoldigital.com/product/yage-2019/

AVAILABLE ON CD, VINYL+MP3 AND DIGITAL DOWNLOAD (FLAC, 320kbps MP3)

In 1996 iconic group The Future Sound of London released the UK Top 40 chart album Dead Cities, from which came a track Yage. Such has been the interest in this masterpiece of electronica over the years that the guys have been back into the studio to revisit it. Yage 2019 takes the core of the original and rebuilds it. All together there are eleven tracks reconstructions and interpretations, woven together (as FSOL do) into a 42 minute dreamscape journey.

The CD version includes 2 bonus tracks unavailable on the vinyl. All downloads include the 2 bonus CD tracks.

    Rascal Reporters - We're God (2019 remaster)

    https://rascalreporters.bandcamp.com...-2019-remaster

Rascal Reporters' 1980 sophomore cassette release 'We're God', digitally remastered in 2019 from the original master tapes - presented in higher clarity and fidelity than ever before!

In contrast to the 1997 CD issue of this album, where additional editing work was carried out, this version is presented as it was originally released in 1980, with the alterations being sonic rather than musical.

Hear Kretzmer's original piano-only version of 'Solomon Music', 'Cannonball Adderley' as it stood before its 1997 re-construction, Gore's scream of relief at the end of 'Fidget Stomp' as he completes a successful take, and all the fine intricacies of this piece of Reporters history!

Bonus tracks include the fully remastered 'Guns for Jerry's Kids / Beatrice' 7" single along with other selections from the era.

Yuval Ron: Somewhere In This Universe, Somebody Hist A Drum (and in this case that somebody is Marco Minnemann)

    Progressive jazz-rock with a classical, filmscore-like quality.

The track The Discovery Of Phoebe is dedicated in memory of Allan Holdsworth, one of Ron's influences. He covered Holdsworth's Looking Glass on the album Futuristic Worlds Under Constructions. (you can listen to it through https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_c...&v=PCXb8oRuTyI).

Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?

Thank you! I do love your signature! It raises the all time question- what is prog?

heh... here's a hint... the whole 'musicians doing new things using Rock music elements' scene exploded in 1969

Sounds interesting, although it's too bad he hasn't his project-members to join him.
For those who haven't heard it, Cubert with his project released an album in 2000 with a very good Happy The Man-tribute, called Happy The Fan: https://store.cdbaby.com/cd/cubert

Featuring no less than Nick Didkovsky's son, Leonardo, on drums. I'm buying the brain-implant version, 'cause it's both physical and mental.

Please don't ask questions, just use google.

Never let good music get in the way of making a profit.
