new album V by Papir is out today. been listening to it all morning... another solid release from them. fans of krautrock influenced psych and Causa Sui will love them. they were on el paraiso records for years until this latest one on stickman. John McEntire from Tortoise mixed this and it sounds great.

    loved it!
    great groove with cool twists
Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?

Leprous-Malina shipping now, OMG! Should be groundbreaking as per usual. And then Caligula's Horse-In Contact will wrap up the year in good fashion.

Bon Lozaga has teamed up with Mudvayne bassist, Ryan Martinie and drummer Mitch Hull. together, they formed Soften The Glare and their debut Making Faces was released September 1st. I haven't heard enough of it to give an opinion but I know Bon has his share of fans here.
