New Eloy album „The Vision, the Sword & the Pyre“ (03/24/2017).
Fairly new releases, particularly if you enjoy synthesizers:

I'm waiting for Steve F. to get this in store's stock, so that I can send him some moneys for it and for others as well (Village People and Shakin' Stevens and all of Roine Stolz' discog). I'll put into CD player and play and listen and sit quiet in the chair and await oncoming death.

So I got this from Wayside today, and just gave it a first spin. Holy guacamole! I absolutely love this album. I love their debut album, but this one is definitely going to be my favorite of theirs (to date). Not a duff track to my ears. Lots of great playing, good compositions, and the band really walks a nice line between avant-styled stuff and a more accessible approach. I really recommend people check this out. Fans of CDC for sure, but this is different form CDC and might even have a wider appeal.
Not many albums grab me immediately, but I was just totally digging this one from the minute I put it on. It will definitely be a top 2016 CD for me.

Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?

öz ürügülü, anynone?
I have no idea how I came to like this band on Bandcamp. Discussion here? Tooling around bandcamp randomly? No recollection.
Got a notification that there was a new album. Checking it out right now. Just listening to the first track. Spectacular stuff. Go listen.

^Hmmm. Some pretty wild stuff. Perhaps a bit too all over the map, for my tastes. There are times when it is killer. for me, but then other times, not so much. Some interesting Secret Chiefs 3 style tracks are sprinkled throughout. I think that some people here might really dig it. Certainly worth a listen.

Not sure if it has been already mentioned here but EYE's latest release Vision and the Ageless Light is a real retro-space-psych-prog-rock masterpiece. The final 27-minute long epic As Sure As The Sun is an outstanding musical trip enriched by keyboard-wizard Lisa Bella Donna's stunning work and sounds. (if you like Mellotrons you'll be in heaven). You should not miss this one, one of the best 2016 releases. I should add that a couple of hours before posting this I've never heard about this band. Wonderful find, really...
