    that was cool
reminded me a bit of Gordion Knot
Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?

"A few years ago, we worked with a remarkable Peruvian/Puerto Rican musician named Abraham Gomez-Delgado, whose NYC-based band is called Zemog El Gallo Bueno. He seemed to be on a seriously upward trajectory, but then Abraham disappeared. As you might imagine we were happy to hear from him, and dismayed to learn that he'd been going through a severe bout with depression. "

"YoYouMeTú Trilogy Vol 1 & 2, due out Nov 13, is Abraham's and Zemog's return to the world. If Frank Zappa had been Peruvian/Puerto Rican/American, he might have made this album."

This is as prog as Mew or Motopsycho but with Salsa beat and instrumentation. Try it out and don't give up when the congas come it - the rest is amazing. Who says Prog fans don't have rhythm?!

Abe was also a co-leader of Positive Catastrophe, along with Taylor Ho Bynum, with 2 CDs on Cuneiform.

I own and very much like the 1st (?) Zemog.

Our copies of Amarok are on the way to us.

    Super duper news!
Robert Santamaria sold me a copy of Dafnia's studio album (his other project), and has put Dafnia's live album up on his Bandcamp page for download (see my earlier post for reference). Very excellent original and traditional Andalusian/Balkan/Arab folk songs, including the amazing Marta Segura's vocals.

I would strongly recommend to send your Dollars to Steve F. for the new Amarok Album.

Very good comeback, and this time they changed from a World Folk band with strong Prog influences to a Prog band
    with strong Folk influences.

The second CD of this Album will get you bits and pices over the time of the band, and they deserve to be released!
