I wanted to put this announcement here because I reviewed their first release on this site and hope the second release is just as great!

After many long years of toil, The Benzene Ring is thrilled to announce the release of our new full-length album, Crossing The Divide. It rocks, it seethes, it bites, it soothes, and you can stream and/or buy it on Bandcamp and SoundCloud, and soon on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, etc:

Musically, its scope is large, playing with themes and threads that wind through trails of progressive rock, dreamy fantasies, rich textures, and unsettling interludes. Sometimes it is moody and introspective, other times impassioned and loud, always melodic. The songs are long, the arrangements idiosyncratic. Your active attention is rewarded.
Of course, it’s a concept album. It tells the story of Jonpers, who finds himself progressively losing the ability to communicate, until he eventually cannot communicate with himself, which sends him on a panicked flight through the woods, where he meets an old man, and descends (dies, perhaps?) into an underground lair of rat people who eventually explain how they were transformed when a man in a hot air balloon—the same old man Jonpers had encountered, although the old man has since forgotten it entirely—accidentally created a space-time rift in the rat-people’s original dimension and brought them back to ours. After hearing the story of the rats, Jonpers recovers his ability to understand and communicate, and he makes a dramatic escape from the underground rat caves on his way to relocate the old man.
Yes. That's right.
Big thanks go to Adam Rokhsar, who helped us develop the artwork, Joe Lambert Mastering, who was more than patient in working with us, and Eric Reed (aka Eric B) and Erin Barlow Komon, who made big contributions over the years.
Please give it a listen, and if you like it, share it with your friends, and let us know how you feel. We're thrilled to finally share it!

a little late on this one but Abiona from Second Relation was finally re-released by Long Branch Records (SPV) back in July. the young Austrian band self financed and produced this gem as well as their debut Lynette. hard to believe this band went unsigned for so long.
Second Relation - Motherlight (Abiona 2011/2015)
Second Relation - Chance, Aim, Way, Promise (Abiona 2011/2015)

So Svet, are you are going to carpet bomb threads with endless bandcamp references the same way you did on PA? Or you going to allow some discussion and space between posts?
