There are nice moments, but it seems like they don't come often enough or the transitions from song to song, or section of songs just doesn't work all that well.

However, I have come to believe this is how they are and want to write, and so I don't fault them for that. But I just wonder if I'll ever get attached to another one of their albums again. Really since Colors.
Sections of this remind me of when bands like and at large Dream Theater were listenable - which might not be saying much.

My problem with them is the sections where they're trying too hard to be "hardcore"...tried them and Periphery recently...couldn't get through anything of the latter...that being said i do like some of BTBAM's approaches...it just overall doesn't work for me.

I hate it when that happens. I saw a download at Amazon already though.

They stopped that as well. I understand that the album was not quite ready.

I was checking the other work of bass-player Al Swaiger and discovered he had just released an album with the band Snow Giants, in which he shares duties with 05Ric and guitarist Mike Outram:

I would call it ambient impro-rock.

The ID is a new band that has released their debut album "Idiocracy". Kinda folksy in places, but lots of good melodic prog here. Kinda reminds me a bit of Colin Mold.

noticed that Abigail's Ghost new album went on preorder. But it's kinda steep at $25... wanting to hear samples prior to sending $$$. I'm ok with 25, but it must be breakthrough material then.

Has anyone heard the new Seven Reizh album? I'm really interested, but I could not find it in digital and the cd is like $50.

It was released only on CD and the price is so high because it's sold with the book. The band streamed the full album for some time around the release date, but now there is only an 18-minutes medley at their site http://www.seven-reizh.com/?page_id=83

Rather annoying. I like their music, but not to the tune of 48 euros and I don't really care for this book. They did the same with the previous album.

Only the single, not that exciting to me. Better to be good since Kingcrow's "Eidos" did set the bar quite high for this style of prog

i thus far like it...bass tone reminds of Kayo Dot's recent.

Can't say i dig the Kingcrow stuff though...
