That said, if you weren’t Wayne Shorter, they would tend to have a very specific idea of what they wanted you to do when they hired you for a session. And would expect you to do exactly that and nothing else.
No harm done of course. It just seemed like an unnecessary dig; I don't believe Walter or Donald were averse to having fun. But I get the joke.

Donald & Walter would have wiped the tape and fired everyone when they got back.
By the way, thank you for the heads up on this one!

I blame Wynton, what was the question?

The opening minutes of the one tune that's available is enough for me to purchase this album. Thanks. Jazzrock/fusion-bands with guitar, drums, keys and bass are my favorite line-ups.

    Two rather decent jazz-rock releases:

    Origina1Nerd - "Unknown Error" (Austria)

    Nanot - "S/T" (Greece)

Don't mind me, just plugging the second preview track from the upcoming second Glass Island album. This one is only on youtube but the whole album will be out in just two weeks:

For anyone missing Colin Edwin's playing from PT or who is a fan of the band Sonar, Stephen Thelen's latest project Fractal Sextet may hit the spot.

Aurora Clara has a new one out. Just like it was the case on "Transformation" (2019), Jerry Goodman appears on one track too. Looks like it was released in January of this year, but I personally just learned of it. If it was announced here before, I apologize.

No link provided - I listened to two and one-half songs on Amazon Music. That's more than enough.

this should have easily replaced The Lost Trident Sessions as "their lost album".
my music collection increased tenfolds when I switched from drug-addicts to complete nutcases.
