That's not really something I feel strongly about. They're a Norwegian band, I have no expectation they provide English translations. If they did them and put them on Bandcamp or on their website, that would be fine with me, but it's not something I demand. There are tons of bands who sing in their native tongues that I'll likely never have a clue what they're singing about. Doesn't really bother me or substantially diminish my enjoyment of their music. I got very used to that when I was discovering Italian Prog in the 1990s, at this point I don't really give it a second thought.

Hi Bill, in a way I get it. Got used to it a bit as well, like you wrote, primarily with the Italian bands as it is often the case there. However, often knowing the lyrics adds another dimension to the music, more drama or more peacefulness etc. It is a bit of an "outrage" (strange at the least for me), if they market their music for fans outside of their country and yet do not care if they will be able to understand words. And I really do not mind and even prefer if they sing in their native languages, but at the same time hardly understand why not to include English translation with booklets alongside the lyrics in original language. Especially in these times when probably all of the younger generations (post WWII, and certainly in Europe, are fluent in English.
Case in point, the recently mentioned here topic on the Norwegian band Major Parkinson and its album "Blackbox". Without understanding the lyrics and no text in the booklet, it would have been a "half baked" effort and nowhere near the experience I am getting from it.
Releases like this, as Jordjo is certainly not the only one doing it, seriously put a dent in my philosophy and necessity of buying the music on a physical medium. Really enjoying the music there but perhaps a digital and, in general, much cheaper format would suffice? Of course this is my, very subjective, opinion, but hopefully voices like this can change thinking? I know, I am an optimist

Hello! This is a very good & trippy jazz-rock album by Rostro del Sol from Lima.
Understood, it is sidetracking from the thread. Just to be better understood what I was trying to say before. It is (IMO) what the Pastoralia lacks to be otherwise a perfect release.
