    Hi Everyone,
My new album The Archaeology Project is available for preorder on Bandcamp. This is a compilation of my music (leaning toward symphonic prog, but with some more straight ahead material as well). It also has previously unreleased music including my cover version of the Pink Floyd song 'Dogs.'
    All the best-

Thanks for the tip! I really like their last one. Ha, perhaps I should feel embarrassed since this band is from my home town, and was not aware of this release.

I'm normally not a fan the stuff that is more on the Metal side but this track was quite good. Very melodic, driving and a fun listen. I almost forgot for a moment that I was listening to Portnoy bash the drums with steel girders.

Alpha Lighting System. Just a terrific new album from these guys from Mexico. As always, I'm really drawn to the manic workouts. Very enjoyable.

This is a good example of a Post-Rock/ambient work IMO!

Hey everyone, happy new releases Friday!
Today Isobar is releasing our debut album. This band is made up of three guys (Jim Anderson, Malcolm Smith and Marc Spooner) from Metaphor with Mattias Olsson on drums. We also got the horn players from The Funky Knuckles to play on a few songs. The music is all instrumental progilicious. A couple of tracks were debuted on Gagliarchives last weekend and Tom had some rather nice things to say about it (thanks, Tom!). Hope you like it.
Now available from the links below or accessible from all the major streaming platforms.

Congratulations and good luck. I'm listening to it as I write this. Grabs the ear right from the beginning. I will say that if I had to review it, I would would say that it has a very "American" sound to it. Certainly fusion elements that on-occasion have a certain hint of Zappa. I would probably say it was "symphonic" in that it sounds through-composed rather than put together by jamming. In any regard, I'm enjoying what I'm listening to.

Sounds cool! I also hear some slight Happy The Man here and there.
It's strange everytime to see you buy a CD and the shipping costs are much higher then the album itself. Well, lucky the Euro is strong at the moment.

Has anyone heard the new Tangent album?

I'm listening to it now. I'll need to listen to this multiple times because it's clearly The Tangent but it's not clicking with me yet. Then again, other than the first album which really worked for me on first listen, they've gotten a lot more dense in the songwriting and arrangements with each album. For now, I sort of feel bored by the epic on the album but I'll try again when I'm in a different mood. It also takes a while for me to work out how wordy the songs tend to be. They all end up sounding like, "And I was standing in England and then the sky was all green in England and then England was an England on top of an England."
