Just stumbled about this on their Facebook page, pretty impressive list.

Might end up buying most of it. Does anyone know "The Blue Ship"?

For fans of heavy psychedelic music. Just came out in late July. I've been digging this album quite a bit:

Seven Impale City Of The Sun (out on Karisma Records, though the sound is more a la D'AccorD than Airbag).

Fairly good indeed. They're from Bergen, the town I grew up in. Karisma rec is based there. The real treasure of that label's recent output is the new album by Brimstone, Mannsverk.

Just received my copy of Causa Sui newest release: "PEWT'R Sessions 3"

UPDATE: Just listened to it twice: very disappointing, I have their last four releases prior to this one and it is by far the weakest!

Received Vol. 2 of the 10-cd Hugh Hopper retrospective.Vol 2 is Frangloband, recorded live in Paris, 2003.Hugh Hopper-bass-Patrice Meyer-guitar,Pierre Olivier-Govin-saxes,Francois Verly-drums.

A winner all around.Top notch sound,superb performances all around.I especially am impressed with Pierre Olivier-Govin on sax.Highly recommended.

Vol. 1 is in the mail to me now.Vol. 3 is available for pre order.

Thanks for the heads up. I was asking about it in my stoner thread because I sampled some of the tracks and it seemed to be a bunch of exploratory noodling without much structure. Is that the case?

Cool - good cross section of albums. For certain, I'm most interested in the new Homunculus Res - their debut is brilliant in my mind. I'm hoping that La Coscienza di Zeno tones down some of the "American Idol" singing bits found on the second album, and focuses in on their strong compositional and instrumental talents. And I hope Not a Good Sign carves out more of an identity on their new one, since I thought much of their debut sounded "generic northern European". Also curious about the new Ciccada.

I thought the Not a Good Sign debut was very good, but I never really warmed to the second La Coscienza ('though their debut is great). Ciccada are fine as well, but I'd love for them to concentrate on vocals in Greek only. Yugen and Simon Steensland are always welcome, and I took Bob D. on his tip and listened to the Blue Ship - bringing joy to my ears.

Yep, I think we're on the same page here on Ciccada (I always prefer native languages myself). As for La Coscienza, I still ended up enjoying the second album. I think it would have been a killer if the music didn't stop (other than steady rhythm) every time he started to sing (a common problem in modern progressive music - at least for my tastes). And I really did enjoy Not a Good Sign - but I did feel it was a bit by-the-numbers for the style. It's just a great style I'll have to check out Blue Ship...

Homunculus Res, Ciccada and Yugen are the more anticipated here from the AltrOck / Fading forthcoming catalogue. Then La Coscienza di Zeno and Not a Good Sign.

Listened to Causa Sui's "PEWT'R Sessions 3" at my local record store. Very disappointing indeed, as Mythos noted few posts above.

Yeah, pretty much, very boring stuff, the latest Papir blows it away. Hopefully they (Causa Sui) recover with their next release

Don't know if this has been mentioned previously, but I'm getting a lot of enjoyment out of the new Steve Unruh cd "Music From Air". This is a soundtrack to a movie that was made in 2006. A lot of musical styles are represented.

Seven That Spells (Croatia) - "The Death and Resurrection of Krautrock: IO" (Released June 2014 on the Sulatron label). Didn't hear about these guys before, but doing a quick search, I saw that Spiros has mentioned an older album of theirs. The new one is the second one in a planned trilogy. Smashing stuff:
