There's a new solo album by Dejan Ilijic, the pianist and composer from Eyot:

He's also playing guitar and bass here and has a colleague on violin. Pretty cool stuff.

Angel Ontalva has just released a compilation of some of his favourite tunes from various projects over the last eight years as a free download on Bandcamp:

    https://octoberxart.bandcamp.com/alb...tion-2012-2020

This is a lovely collection of tracks covering a variety of styles. Great sampler of his work, in fact. You have nothing to lose!

Thanks. I didn’t pick that one up for some reason and had forgotten about it! I’ll have to fix that.

Shameless self promotion, though on topic.

Yesterday we, Obskyr a Swedish duo with me playing the bass, released our debut album, both on digital platforms as well as on a limited vinyl run of 100 numbered pieces.

We gather our influences from among others Magma, John Carpenter, Soft Machine, Cardiacs, Caravan, Van der Graaf generator, Elder etc. Both of us have a history in metal but enjoy lots of different styles of music. Our own music is dark, cinematic and moody.

Hear for yourself! The full album is available on YouTube.

    https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZACF73AMBY4

For those of you that want to own the music it’s available both on vinyl and as downloads on Bandcamp.

They call it indie-jazz - to me it's good, quality music. I Think You're Awesome + Taiga String Quartet https://itya.bandcamp.com/album/suite-to-be-you-and-me

I am pretty excited about this, great band (also just noticed that we are friends on Facebook, I hadn't made the connection with your PE handle - it explains the good taste )
