I'm a big Miles fan... I've listened to him for many a year. Here's the thing though: between his vast catalogue, the big fusion bands, the prog bands big and small, Zappa, etc... there is just too much to listen to, especially when you want to hear many of those titles many times each. As a result, I curtailed my spending on him somewhat. But I'm in a phase, and now I want more. Here is my humble collection... you'll gather the 'era' I am into by these titles:
Miles In The Sky
Filles De Kilimanjaro
In A Silent Way
Bitches Brew
A Tribute To Jack Johnson
On The Corner
Get Up With It
Big Fun
Dark Magus
Pangaea
Agharta
Water Babies
Bootleg Series Vol. II: Live In Europe 1969
Bootleg Series Vol. III: Miles At The Fillmore
... What's next for me? I'm interested in some opinions on the Cellar Door Sessions and Bootleg Series Vol. I boxes, as well as some of those "Complete Sessions" boxes (are those too exhaustive?)
Also, what's the best book about Miles? I know his "Miles" autobiography is popular, but I want to be sure the one I buy focuses a lot on the fusion period (despite how interesting the other eras of his career may be).
