Sad to see Conventum opening for Echolyn. It reminds me of a concert I've been where Van Der Graaf, opened for Porcupine Tree...
While I could certainly see the latter appearing quite appalling indeed, I'm not sure the Conventum Trio even are an up'n'going restitution of the "classic" 70s Conventum band or rather simply a low-profile project of Duchesne's. I think it's good to know that Echolyn fans will be exposed to some of Duchesne's marvellous work.

I think it's just a project. I don't know if there are any plans of releasing any material. 1/3 of the trio is Bernard Falaise of Miriodor whom I believe has plenty of project going already. It will be an interesting contrast in styles and sounds for sure!

Sorry I can't make it to the "Dube-Folkard" uncaged match.
Oh yeah, and Echolyn/Conventum too!

And sorry that I can't make it to Progtoberfest, Steve-er. Definitely some bands there, that I'd like to check out. But I'm a big fan of the last Echolyn, and this is a rare opportunity, so.....

Got my tickets - B1 and B2.
<sig out of order>
very envious of those attending this. For some reason I didn't get their latest release Echolyn when it first came out. I just got it about 3 months ago and have been listening to it almost exclusively since then. An absolutely fantastic release. I am floored by how good this is. This band deserves more recognition.
