    Faith No More: new material???

    http://www.avclub.com/article/faith-...ault:1:Default

Patton posts on Tweeter that the reunion has run its course. They're bored and need to feel creative. They're still playing live shows (or show--one this summer).

I say awesome. And please American tour.

    Wow, that could be swell!

Man, I wish if they were doing some new material they could get Trey Spruance back in the fold - their King For A Day record for me is like a big ole 40 ouncer of Colt 45 - it works everytime.

Could never get into their rap, metal, prog hybrid thing!

Didn't know they were still around!!

Some of the stuff on Angel Dust was flat-out incredible! I would definitely be interested in hearing new stuff from these guys.

Mike Patton never left - he's just a nomad.

Hudson is pretty well entrenched as the guy. And he meshes well with the band. Spruance, a great guitarist, probably isn't the right fit for FNM music.

He did, however, perform King for a Day live with them a few years back.

    Here be linkage:

The full concert is out there, but there's no good video of it. I don't visit any of the trader forums, but I'm sure a decent download of it is available.

Two new songs were played at Hyde Park:

Gould talks up the possibility of recording in Classic Rock and hints that if they do record, it won't be just a quick one-off. The two new songs can easily be found on the web and sound a lot like FNM.

    Still hoping ...

I'd rather have a new Bungle album. FNM were my fave band when I was like 13 or so but I thought their last album was their worst. They might still be a decent live act but I doubt the new stuff will come close to what they did 20 years ago.
The truth will set you free, but first it will piss you off

Bungle were my favorite band when I was 13, but I think Bungle evolved in ways that FNM did not. (Patton was not the main song writer for either band, so no credit or blame there.)

Album of the Year is definitely their weakest moment in the Patton era, especially when compared to the stellar previous two albums, but I'm sorta excited about this. Hmm. I guess that's obvious. I will travel and take time off work to see FNM.

I think Jon Hudson as guitar player is not quite on the same level as Trey Spruance. I found the guitar parts on "Album of the Year" a little boring.

After seeing Secret Chiefs 3 play in Helsinki last night, I'm rather happy that Spruance is doing that and not Faith No More. And I really like Faith No More.

When did FNM become valid enough to be considered main page worthy in PROGRESSIVE EARS? Shouldn't this have been delegated to off topic? They are not a Prog Band are they?

From the FNM blog Facebook (and wow):

    ********************** ATTENTION *******************************************
As you will have seen last Wednesday and Friday, Faith No More put tickets on sale for US shows, only for them to have completely sold out in a matter of minutes!
After listening and talking to literally hundreds of you, it seems that a lot of of the tickets were bought by companies, only for them to resell them at extortionate prices!
The guys from FNM are most upset by this but, unfortunately, there isn't a single thing they can do about it!
Talking to our friends at Faith No More 2.0(www.newfaithnomore.com)today Bill Gould addressed the fans concerns with the following statement
“The ticketing world is something that I haven’t had much interaction with, but this most recent experience has really piqued my interest…I’m not sure what can be done but I am all about investigating possibilities, because when this happens, both the band and the fans get burned.”
So we here at Faithnomoreblog.com/Faithnomoreblog/ Faithnomoreblog Faithnomoreblog Fan Forum and with the support of the band and our friends at Faith No More 2.0 we have decided to do our bit and help you guys out the best we can.
So we are dedicating our time to help you find tickets through other real Faith No More fans.
It's as simple as this. This post will stay up here for you to shout out what show it is you want to attend! And those of you who have a ticket or tickets spare, can't make the show, or whatever your reason, can post here also, and we simply hook you up with each other.
Dan and I will be on hand every day to try to help you the best we can, and if you need to you can pm us here on Faithnomoreblog Fan Forum, we will get back to you as soon as we can!
So let's blow these scalpers out the water!!!
Just before I finish, we do have a couple of strict rules and it's for your benefit only..
1.) You must only charge the price of ticket face value plus booking fee if applicable( plus postage if you are posting your ticket/tickets out to the buyer.)
2.) Proof of postage is a must.
3.) We can only put you in touch with each other, the final sale must be down to you!
SO COMMENT AWAY AND GOOD LUCK FROM US ON FINDING YOUR GOLDEN TICKET!!

    The new single:

Hudson gets a nice solo toward the end of the song. Roddy's piano throughout is nice. "Motherfucker" was an ok song. This is as good as anything they've done.
