Things like Sand, Hard Hat Area, and Secrets are beautiful beyond words IMO.
Secrets is my favorite from Allan’s solo albums. For me, his playing, while very technical, is very emotional & melodic.

This is exactly how I feel too.

Secrets is a really good album too!

Some great stuff on that album including City Nights, and Joshua. And the Synthaxe solo on Spokes is amazing. He sounds like a violinist.

In fact, he was a violinist- and played it on some of his earlier solo albums and with the Softs.

This sounds very interesting - I ordered a copy.
I'm really looking forward to checking out what Paul Wertico does with Holdsworth music!

By the way, the Leverkusen 2010 release is fantastic.

I received the "Allan's Legacy: 19 Men of Tain" CD a few days ago - it's fantastic! I highly recommend it to any Holdsworth fans.
The playing is great, the interpretations are honest but not carbon copies, and the guests don't just phone it in.
I must admit that I'd never heard of the main players here, but they are all outstanding.
You can tell this was made with a lot of love and respect.

Thanks for your review. I'm still waiting for my copy, but I know shipping from the US to Europe can take "ages" especially when the seller doesn't use high shipping costs.

If anybody's interested, I just noticed that Manifesto is selling all 12 remastered Holdsworth CDs for 54 dollars on eBay. Says they have more than ten sets left.

Indeed, that's a great value! So many good things in Holdsworth's solo catalog.

I bought the set - 1 left now! They dinged me with an $11 import charge (no idea what that is) but shipping was only $10 to Canada. In a few seconds, nothing will be left.
What can this strange device be? When I touch it, it brings forth a sound (2112)

All gone now but Manifesto has another bundle of three of the live CD/DVD sets plus the 2 disc studio compilation Eidolon for 30 bucks.

Me, too, and I dig comparing them...how the different rhythm sections influence the sound, and what Allan does....new one is great.

Seems my copy of Leverkusen 2010 finally was delivered by the distributor to my local record shop. Now I have to wait till the lockdown ends.

This CD/DVD was supposed to be delivered by Amazon today. Not sure what to make of the fact that Amazon mistakenly sent me some pillow covers instead!
