    Another game

Somebody started this game several years ago and I jumped on the bandwagon and posted a couple more. Here it is again. I give a very verbose interpretation of a line from a song and you name the song. I remember giving twenty clues each time but I'd like to give others a chance to add to the list. I hope you enjoy it.

    1. The entity of which I speak was, at a certain period, in possession of living beings which, throughout most of the world's history, were the principal source of transportation for the human race, and which, in their particular case, would be observed to resemble, in their color only, a beverage known to contain lactose.

    2. A young individual whose first name is sometimes associated with a pioneer in the field of mood-altering desserts, was not of a mind to express any curiosity about a certain matter, for which reason, this individual positioned to face a fantastical figure and then inquired as to what other matters this figure had been required to study.

    3. Internal organs possessing smaller amounts of thermal energy than normal, in addition to units of time possessing even less energy bide their time in anticipation of a minor climatic apocalypse.

    4. I entreat you to visualize the remnants of things consumed by a process of raised temperature which present themselves visually as light in an area higher and lower than...

    5. I am actually satisfied and content that the person to whom I speak may choose to excuse his or herself from the present activity.

Any chance of people naming the band as well as the song? I have never heard of "Fainting in Coils".

Not necessarily from the prog songbook:

    1) A worker of magic, being sprinkled with spices, has the capacity to reverse your situation of being very low and unpopular.

    2) It being after sundown, the public open space is turning to liquid!

    3) My mode of transport was in poor condition. I was also extremely intoxicated, not unusual for people who frequent this locality.

    4) We performed various rhythmic bodily motions and acrobatics. I would have preferred to settle my stomach, but the assembled multitude requested a repeat performance.

    5) The observed phenomenon of a diminutive region of reduced luminosity on a certain luminous body has persisted for at least 24 hours, though I believe it existed for some time before that.

I expect you will find these pretty easy.

    ^^ Correct.

That only leaves (3), and it's from the same country as I am, which is probably a dead giveaway.

Correct! (actually the proper title is "Down Under".)
For solving that, you get a Vegemite sandwich.

    1. The individual parts of sentences, which in the present case rest midway, each exist in the form of a sixtieth part of the twenth-fourth part of the dusk-to-dusk, or perhaps dawn-to-dawn phenomenon, and which you, I and/or others do not intend.

    2. The measurement of processions of events is the recorded quantity in advance of its commencement.

    3. Set a sphere in motion as it remains in contact with a plane to achieve altitude for the purpose of experiencing an excursion of unexplained phenomena.

    4. I advance an inquiry directed toward a liquid to be consumed between late December and late March regarding the perpetuity of the capability of its motion in my own mental processes.

    5. The precipitation either related to or owned the individual to whom I have mentioned said precipitation, accelerates in its usual trajectory as manual appendages in a state of dementia.
