Any time any one speaks to me about any musical project, the one absolute given is "it will not make big money". [tip of the hat to HK]
"Death to false 'support the scene' prog!"

I heard Siberian Khatru last week while eating breakfast at a local restaurant.
^ That may have been on the menu.
^ No, that was the Siberian cat stew.

I was in a smallish super market in a larger rural town in deep-red state Mizzourah last week, standing in line to pay for a six pack of beer and on the muzak system comes the opening drumbeats to XTC's Ballad Of Peter Pumpkinhead.
I was probably the only person within 100 miles that had any clue who it was. I took my time so i could hear the whole song, probably annoying the shit out of the bumpkins behind me.

Since we’re on the subject of car commercials, here’s the Popol Vuh commercial I mentioned before:
Confirmed Bachelors: the dramedy hit of 1883...
Last week in my local Fry's (Kroger) food store, they played Kansas He Knew. The same store who months ago played Karn Evil 9.

I'm in a sports bar, and I'm hearing Crimson....Three of a Perfect Pair. Right now, on the house music, not the jukebox.
Coming full circle with King Crimson’s “Epitaph,” covered by (the late) Japanese entertainer Hideki Saijo. The same man who topped the Oricon charts with “Young Man,” the Japanese version of the Village People’s “Y.M.C.A.”! (It’s even on the same album!)

There was a programme on Sky Arts last night about the artist Julie Verhoeven interpreting the book 'The Joy of Sex'. At one point I heard the introduction and first lines of 'Living in the Past'. Didn't watch it all, sadly...
Tonight we were having a few beers at a local brewery called One Well Brewing here in Kalamazoo. They often play interesting music in the background, although it is not very loud so hard to hear. I was sitting there this evening and my ears started picking up something that sounded familiar. It was hard to hear over the people in the brewery, but I finally recognized that it was a track from Thank You Scientist. I can't say that I have ever heard that before.

This morning at breakfast heard Kansas Magnum Opus. I noticed this restaurant plays a station called deep tracks.

Deep Tracks is a channel on XM Sirius (satellite radio). They play some prog stuff from time to time (usually the most well known bands). The other day in my car I heard them play "then" from the time and a word album by Yes. I've also heard BJH and Ambrosia on there. Sooner or later they play most of the usual suspects.
Not exactly prog, but season 4 episode 4 (I think) of Good Girls, began with, "Leave It" by Yes.
Prog related I guess....
