How much would you spend on a day with Geddy, Alex, and wine?

OK, who wants to play the role of Neil Peart in a wine-soaked day with Ged and Alex?

...BTW I live smack dab in between Toronto and the Niagara wine region, so please pick me up on the way!

I'm a wine lover. And a fan of Rush. But I'm not spending more than $21,000 ( ) to "enjoy" Canadian wine.

I'm willing to tack on an additional $500 to be the current winning bid, but only - and I mean ONLY - if Alex gets drunk with me. Am I allowed to make that stipulation?

BTW I am drinking a lovely Baco Cab blend from the Niagara region as we speak. I'm going to be sad when the bottle is empty.

I'd be willing to throw a buck towards charity and pay my way for a couple of bottles under $20. Drinking with Alex? Count me out, seems I remember where he got into a tussle after one too many.

Give me three beautiful women to spend the day with instead. That would rock! Can someone ask my wife for me? LOL

Indeed! Now if this was a tour of a brewery with Bob & Doug Mackenzie I'd be all over it!

You may have missed the part of this being a benefit. They donated the whole wine trip. The bids go to the benefit, not the wine trip.

    Now you're talkin'!!

I would spend maybe a couple hundred, since it's for charity and all and because those two guys were big musical hero's for me. I suspect it would be good fun as well. However, $21,000 for that I could never justify to myself. Not really worth it, IMO.

Back in the day I could have a beer with them for free at my cousin's place after a gig. I'll keep that memory.

We'll pick the grapes along the way, we only stop for the best!

This would fit my budget better:

Apparently, they're willing to at least treat a stranger like a long awaited friend for charity. While I'd love to spend a few moments chatting with them, or maybe even a dinner, I have a feeling a weekend is really more than necessary. And I don't really want to spend the actual value of the trip on learning about wine.

    Grapes Under Pressure.....

It would actually be more awesome to win a day with Geddy and Alex drinking Night Train, or Thunderbird or something. That would get funny quick.
