Hey Kavus - The more I listen to this tune, the more I really hear this amazing tune. Within this pop framework (yeah right!) there is this subtle complexity and little moments that are like a small corner of a very large oil painting. The form is also very very interesting if you are a true music nerd and try to follow it. Really can't wait for this album man. Very warm, colorful, and inviting mood too - at least on this tune.
Also, I didn't realize the direct and personal connection to Tim this album has. Wow. That must be some really deep stuff for you. I love this album even more now just even based on this.
KNIFEWORLD, BITCHES!!!!!!!!!!
PS - Drake mastered this?!
Man this is great stuff, I'm loving it.

Gordon Haskell - "You've got to keep the groove in your head and play a load of bollocks instead"
I blame Wynton, what was the question?
There are only 10 types of people in the World, those who understand binary and those that don't.
Bob Drake mixed and mastered it. Thank god he did.
He mixed it up to the point he was happy then we went out to his place for a few days and worked on the final details.
He is currently stood opposite me in my kitchen but that's another matter.
Don't Land On Me features "the riff" - one of the best riffs i've heard in ages, what a tune
That riff had been around for three or four years before I found a suitable home for it.
At one point I was going to offer it to Chrome Hoof during my tenure in the band.
I still have stacks of homeless riffs. My main fear of dying is that I'll go to my grave without housing them all.
Nice.

“Remember, if it doesn't say "Cuneiform," it's not prog!” - THE Jed Levin
Any time any one speaks to me about any musical project, the one absolute given is "it will not make big money". [tip of the hat to HK]
"Death to false 'support the scene' prog!"
please add 'imo' wherever you like, to avoid offending those easily offended.
Has anyone noticed how the saxes sound like passing car horns during *the riff*? Cool!!

Wonderful music having just listened to them for the first time. Agree that the riff is wonderful.
I cook up mind-numbingly hilarious gags sure to keep the "crowds" in stitches from the first note to the last, and beyond. The latest was using the "Piano Lesson" gag from The Music Man (1962 version of course not the blasphemous remake) during "The Horrible Garden".
As for the album in question, it's really a good one. As I have said before the songs, singing, playing etc are great, it was recorded well which makes my job a lot more fun and productive, and the group were open to the occasionally unexpected mix/arrangement decisions I had made. The whole thing is just real swell.
