    Five-Storey Ensemble (post Rational Diet)

A new AltrOck release due in 2013 from the ashes of Rational Diet

    From AltrOck:-

After Rational Diet’s experience, Five Storey Ensemble is born! Several members of the band from Belarus – they shocked the avant-prog world with At Work and On Phenomena and Existences – take part to the project. In an extended line-up, the style of Vitaly Appow and Olga Podgaiskaya, among the main RD composers, is well recognizable. So Not that city is the natural prosecution of a well established course, yet now more spontaneous, melodic, aching: the listener will be surprised by these sound alchemies, able to crystallize the moment, making it magic.

I blame Wynton, what was the question?

    Automatic purchase!!

Here's another tune of this band. I like this one even better ;-) With a bit of a surprise at the end.

I was disappointed to hear the news when Rational Diet broke up. I'm glad they're back (albeit in a new form)!

It's a lovely record. I like the album by the other fragment of Rational Diet too - The Archestra / Arches - but have certainly spent more time with Five-Storey ensemble.

They've got about equal play for me, love both but still would have preferred the continuation of Rational Diet.

On FB a new Five Storey Ensemble is announced.

In mean time you can listen to various music by Olga Podkaiskaya on Soundcloud.

Some of those pieces sounds very interesting!

Looking forward to a new album!

A short warning to those who have not yet bought the ARCHESTRA / Arches cd, but who plan to do so someday, it's gonna be oop and difficult to find pretty soon as we now have 1 sole copy in stock. No reprint is planned because of LOW physical sales nowadays....
