Thats great, thanks!!
I flew especially to catch two of these shows in Paris -
First time I saw AM, it was great, he is quite a character....
Album a Colorier playing right now.
This guy is the best. Total musical genius - a fucking master at orchestrating pop tunes. NO IDEA what he is singing about, not one word. It doesn't matter, the music is amazing and his voice is so great and utterly bizarre.
A new book on Albert ( in French) just came out
^ Actually it is a book by Albert :

Certified genius! I've got six of his albums, and they all really shine - but I like his fourth one the best (the one with the somewhat black cover).
"Improvisation is not an excuse for musical laziness" - Fred Frith
"[...] things that we never dreamed of doing in Crimson or in any band that I've been in," - Tony Levin speaking of SGM

Any time any one speaks to me about any musical project, the one absolute given is "it will not make big money". [tip of the hat to HK]
"Death to false 'support the scene' prog!"
please add 'imo' wherever you like, to avoid offending those easily offended.
Too bad the cds editions don't come close both in terms of the art and especially the sonics

Would love to put my paws on those master tapes
Celui Ou Y'a Joseph - also my favorite.
Fourthed!
He is a true, certified genius. I probably own 6 or 7 of his records, and they are all excellent. The lyrics are very, very funny and clever. Probably the one I like the most is Ma Vie Avec Elles. I am toying with the idea of buying his book. Good way (I hope!) to practice my rusty French.
Frankie it would be nice to be able to compare these with the Baillemont cd from 1989
Curious to know
Thanks for the post. I totally agree the man is a genius and I love his work. I will be sure to listen to this over the weekend when I have the time to enjoy it! Thanks again. Also where can I find his music catalogue, which vendors carry them?? There are a few that I am missing in my collection
Its best to buy from the man himself,

Actually I am not even sure there are other possibilities...
On the other hand, you might get a signed postcard or some other personal touch which is really nice
Thanks for the info 'flytomars'. I will try to do just that!
Albert Marcoeur + Quatuor Béla will play (in a improv' / free jazz festival) in Mulhouse, France, on august 26th :

It would have been so grand if he would have been invited to play at RIO
but alas...

So glad he's still gigging. I wish I could see him live sometime.
