    Oceansize - any fans?

Def a case of 'better late than never', I've recently discovered Oceansize, and I'm loving them! Too bad they've already split, but their four albums are their legacy. I was wondering if there are any more fans here, what is in your opinion their strongest album or favorite track, and what would you recommend listening to next.

Here's one track I just adore:

Huge fan here. They're missed...i think The Charm Offensive, The Frame, Ornament/The Last Wrongs, Sleeping Dogs & Dead Lions, Build Us A Rocket Then, Oscar Acceptance Speech, and It's My Tail And I'll Chase It If I Want To are my favorites.

My favourite album is Everyone Into Position followed by the debut. I couldn't get into Frames for some reason and tried to again recently with no luck, didn't get the last one.
Music For A Nurse is a great track.
"The wind is slowly tearing her apart"
    Sad Rain

I have one of their albums and like it a lot. I think it was their last one, but can't remember the title off the top of my head.

There are a lot of fans around here. Big fan myself. Managed to track down all their studio albums and one EP. Hard to pick a favorite.

here. they were the perfect missing link between MOGWAi and PORCUPiNE TREE and their split has left a considerable void. i want them back.

“self preserved while the bodies float up”?

i like all of their (quite diverse) albums but, of recently, i keep coming back to their first one, “effloresce”, which is an early display of their very essence and the ending triplet “women who love men who love drugs” / “saturday morning breakfast show” / “long forgotten” is nothing short of magnificent. then follow it with their 25min. EP “music for nurses” (“one out of none” / “paper champion” / “drag the ‘nal” / “dead dogs and all sorts” / “as the smoke clears”) and you are close to perfection.

Also a fan. They often come up in discussions of similar post-rock/prog bands like Amplifier or Engineers. They are missed.
I'm holding out for the Wilson-mixed 5.1 super-duper walletbuster special anniversary extra adjectives edition.

    yes, I love them.

I see their 1st 3 records all pretty close, and Self Preserved good, but not quite on the level of those 3.

I also find the Music for Nurses EP to be more or less as good as those 1st 3 LPs.

I recently wrote a review of Frames in my blog in fact

I love all their stuff; truly exceptional music. My favourite album is Frames, but my favourite track is 'The Charm Offensive'.

Its a band I should love (on paper) and I have not come close to giving them enough time. That's my bad. Vennart's immense love and respect for Tim has me already liking the guy a ton

Huge fan....Roy Keyworth [of Galahad] and I trade Facebook Youtube postings of this band all the time...he was in attendance during the Feed To Feed recordings and can be heard yelling "effing smart!" after the song 'Homage To A Shame' [my favorite song] ends...I have everything they've put out and its high energy, guitar driven song craft make me smile....
