Big Ears Festival in Knoxville later this month: John Cale, Steve Reich, many more...

Let's get straight to it: http://www.bigearsfestival.com/

This one kind of caught me off guard...didn't realize it existed until I came across some info by accident. The lineup is IMHO impressive: Steve Reich, Tim Hecker, Julia Holter, Oneohtrix Point Never, John Cale, Earth, Oren Ambarchi, Johnny Greenwood (of Radiohead), Marc Ribot, Susanna, Dawn of Midi, Mark McGuire (of Emeralds), Son Lux, Keiji Haino, and a bunch of others.

Anyway, I thought it might be of interest to some folks here. Looks like passes are still available. March 28-30 in Knoxville, TN.
If you're actually reading this then chances are you already have my last album but if NOT and you're curious:

If i didn't have my cousins daughters wedding in Albany NY that weekend i'd be at Big Ears. This is exactly the kind of eclectic lineup that appeals to me.Right time of year, too.

Hopefully there will be a Big Ears 2015.

Honestly walt...I'm stunned this isn't happening closer to the Big Apple. It reminds me of the sort of lineup that Unsound was bringing to NYC for a few years

Looks a bit too "out there" for me. Though, I would love to see Television.

Man, I'd love to see Television, too. I've got a bad feeling I'm in Austin that weekend though. Shit.
I want to dynamite your mind with love tonight.

I'm attending Sunday the 30th, Steve Reich and Music For 18 Musicians, Jonny Greenwood, and Bryce Dessner of the National. Out here in the hinterlands, this festival is a godsend. I caught Jon Hassell and Terry Riley at previous Big Ears festivals.

Wow, John Cale in Tennessee. I have a feeling we're not in Wales anymore, Ribot!
