Got into some deep listening of more obscure things of late, and felt a desire to share some music with you all.

G.O.A.T. and your M.O.M.
I seriously love this - not kidding. It paints a very charming picture of the unique culture to be found in that big-ass place called TEXAS.
Artists who have 2013 releases that need more love:
Camelias Garden from Italy
Karfagen from Ukraine (they've been around for a while, but their new album Aleatorica is really their best)
Le Maschere di Clara from Italy
ptf from Japan
Zletovsko from Japan
Other bands with recent releases that need more love:
Argos from Germany
Khatsaturjan from Finland
Sanhedrin from Israel
TEE from Japan
Confirmed Bachelors: the dramedy hit of 1883...
heres one of my favorites that are popular but I never hear them mentioned here...Maybe its because they are fusion but I see other fusion bands mentioned here a lot but never these guys
Something I've been wondering lately is why Polish band SBB used to get mentioned in prog circles a lot, yet now rarely comes up here. One thing I guess is that they're hard to describe.
One thing if bands want a wider market outside their own native territory I think they maybe should think about is band names and album titles-, I know it shouldnt matter but to some extent it can be hard to remember some of these names if they are very much "of their own language". I know some will say Sigur Ros etc--but thats not actually hard against some of the names on here and yes I know we have Krautrock--- but ones that are easily remembered are things like Can, Faust, Neu, Kraftwerk. Tangerine Dream etc . In Holland its easier to remember Earth and Fire, Supersister , Focus etc.
I had a very good demo last week but the band name was 1 letter and its not one we use in English or on English/American keyboards-----, thats going to be a devil to google!!! Just a though anyway. Not trying to sound racist, trying to be practical!
Wait. Are you saying bands like Tõele Näkku Vaadates Võib Näha Ükskõik Mida from Estonia don't have commercial sounding names? That's ridiculous!
While already mentioning them, I guess they should be part of this exercise. You can read more here: http://undertheradarcds.blogspot.com...m-estonia.html
Hell, my whole blog is dedicated to this topic. But nobody reads it. Sort of makes the point, doesn't it?
Another band from Japan
Stella Lee Jones (no joke!)
I worked with a guy who got really into a band called "The Net." He was really frustrated because he couldn't find any way to get information on them through Google.
