Secret Chiefs 3/Atomic Ape/miRthkon West Coast tour in February

Hello, gang - Matt from Secret Chiefs 3, miRthkon, MoeTar and more here...

Secret Chiefs 3 is doing a quick West Coast (US) run in early February, with the first half supported by Atomic Ape (featuring Jason from Estradasphere and Orange Tulip Conspiracy), and the second half by miRthkon! Yep, double duty for me. These will be GOOD SHOWS.

ALSO! There's going to be not one but TWO brand new 7" singles coming out pretty much NOW! The first will be available at the start of the tour, the second sometime around Santa Ana. You can get more info about these and pre-order here: http://www.webofmimicry.com/seven2014.php

    The dates/locales:

Tue Feb 04, 2014 - Vancouver BC @ Biltmore Cabaret w/ Atomic Ape
    Wed Feb 05, 2014 - Seattle WA @ Neumos w/ Atomic Ape
Thu Feb 06, 2014 - Portland OR @ Mississippi Studios w/ Atomic Ape
Fri Feb 07, 2014 - Arcata CA @ Humboldt Brews w/ Atomic Ape
    Sat Feb 08, 2014 - Felton CA @ Don Quixote's w/ Atomic Ape
Sun Feb 09, 2014 - San Francisco, CA @ Amoeba Record (live in-store at 2pm)
Sun Feb 09, 2014 - Oakland CA @ Duende (performing Masada)
    Mon Feb 10, 2014 - Sacramento CA @ Harlow's w/ miRthkon
Tue Feb 11, 2014 - Santa Ana CA @ Constellation Room w/ miRthkon
    Wed Feb 12, 2014 - San Diego CA @ Casbah w/ miRthkon
Thu Feb 13, 2014 - Los Angeles CA @ Bootleg Theater w/ miRthkon
Fri Feb 14, 2014 - Los Angeles CA @ Fragile Gallery in HiFi (preforming Masada)
Sat Feb 15, 2014 - San Francisco CA @ The Chapel w/ miRthkon

Also! Note thast on Saturday, February 1st Atomic Ape and MoeTar and Cash Pony are playing at the Legionnaire Saloon in Oakland (with MoeTar on last)!

And while I have your attention, check out the debut of my newest project, which sounds nothing like any of the above: http://bodiesfloatingashore.bandcamp.com

    Thanks for listening/caring!

You raise an interesting point, there is no analogy for listening to digital music!

I gave it a run? a play? a streaming series of 1's and 0's? Oh the conundrum!!

I really wanted to press a CD, or even vinyl for Bodies Floating Ashore, but simply couldn't afford it. Maybe I will someday.

In any case, maybe the internet will collapse someday and we'll go back to having a keen awareness of the value of things and buying records like adults, and then we wouldn't need to have this conversation.

Super Bump: Added info about another show in LA (and there still might be an afternoon show squeezed in somewhere somehow). But also...

Secret Chiefs 3 just announced, quite unexpectedly, that we have two brand new 7" singles coming out right away, both should be available at the start of or during the tour. You can get more info and pre-order at:

Sounds cool, has a Naked City vibe. I'll wait until I can (possibly) hear the whole thing or read a bunch of stellar reviews before pulling the trigger...I'm not exactly the fuckin' CEO of Berkshire Hathaway.
