They are just too obvious and easy. Hell Tull has TAAB, Passion Play, Aqualung, Minstrel, etc. that could all be nominated. Yes has Tales, CTTE, Relayer, etc. Genesis also has just too many great sides. ELP ... the same.

A gentleman is defined as someone who knows how to play the accordion, and doesn't.
Side 2 of Brain Salad Surgery essentially sums up all that was GOOD about them (and no, except for "Lucky Man" I could never stand the Lake ballads or Emerson's "jokey" escapades).
Rather (unjustly) obscure Swiss group Island and their cult-classic Pictures album has a side 2 which arguably represents "symph prog" at its most far-reaching and (successfully) experimental.
Ange's classic third album Au-dela du Delire has a particularly strong side 1.
Som Imaginario's Matanca do Porco - side 1, knitted together by a recurring theme performed either on grand piano or by a string quartet.
Fusioon's Minorisa - side 1.
Bubu's Anabelas - side 2.
Henry Cow: Unrest - side 1.
Too much to mention, really...

ELP - Love Beach, side one. ; )
The side with the cover photo, I assume.
And nothing wrong with including the classics. It sets a benchmark, eh? As for Genesis, I had a hard time coming up with an entire side that I liked. They have too many random things scattered throughout their discography that I just don't like (Peter Gabriel silliness, cheesy ballads, filler). Though actually now that I think about it, Side 1 of the s/t album and I.T. are some of my favorites of theirs, but they're not really "prog" per se.
I thought of a few others ...
Univers Zero: "Heresie", Side 1
Camel: "Moonmadness", Side 1
Camel: "Pressure Points [live]", Side 1
Happy the Man: "Crafty Hands", Side 1 (Side 2 isn't so bad either)
Marillion: "Misplaced Childhood", Side 1
Marillion: "La Gazza Ladra [live]", Side 1
Magma: MDK (either side)
