    Janel and Anthony

I've been spinning "Where is Home" and I have to say it just sounds so lush and full for two people. I was lucky enough to see them last year at Downtown Music, so I know they can pull this off live too, which is amazing. Just wanted to show some love for this fine new band and here's hoping we see a new release soon.

They are working on new things, and they keep quite active here.

Biggest news on the J&A front is their first Euro tour in May. Still being planned, but hopefully will hit France, Switzerland, Italy and a bit more...

Saw them last week at Union Arts in DC, along with Blue Cranes and a (terrific) band called Leap. J&A were really great, and I believe they played some new material for a future release.
If you're actually reading this then chances are you already have my last album but if NOT and you're curious:

I'm going to catch the Anthony Pirog Trio in Brooklyn tonight. I have no idea what to expect, and I'm excited.

Expect to see one of the younger unsung masters of guitar in a very different context.

This was one of my best discoveries of 2013. They're a very creative duo and totally "progressive". Nice find, Steve!

Great disc, through and through, and the opening track is absolutely killer.

For those who haven't heard them, this is a good taste of what they do:

I just had an interesting thought: how cool would it be if Robert Fripp built a future incarnation of King Crimson around these two?

Thanks for the link, Steve. Wow! They are good. I've only got time for 4 minutes of the video; I heard some "Eights Miles High" influence in there. Good stuff!

Looking forward to my day in court.
