    A Question

Today, for fun, I asked myself this question:

If God said "You have enough time left in your life to listen to ten rock albums only, one each by ten different rock bands", which bands (not albums) would I choose?

For me, it's (not in any special order):

    The Beatles
    Steely Dan
    Jethro Tull
    The Who
    The Kinks
    Cheap Trick
    XTC
    Billy Joel
    Led Zeppelin
John Lennon or Paul McCartney (toss-up)

Then, I tried to choose the albums

    Let It Be
    The Royal Scam
    Broadsword and the Beast
    Face Dances
Give the People What They Want
    Silver
    Nonsuch
    The Stranger
    Houses of the Holy

Shaved Fish or Wings Over America

    You?

Yes, it's just a little game to play...
    For that which is not,
there is no coming into being
    and for that which is,
    there is no ceasing to be;
yea of both of these the lookers into truth have seen an end.

Oh crumbs - you've got me rethinking now

Big Big Train have zoomed onto my musical radar in the past year and I've been astounded by the quality of the last few releases. I cannot wait to see them later this year

So, I would have to pick English Electric Full Power but not sure wait to swap it with

It would have to be a slow day in human affairs for "God" to finally get to this file, wouldn't it? I guess it would be to either decree this, or keep playing Free Cell on his computer.

    Zanus!

    (That's a contraction of God's Anus, like Zounds = God's Wounds)

I'd probably go with a lot of things like the complete Ring Cycle, the complete Gilbert & Sullivan, etc. to maximize my time left alive. Then of course, some hookers and blow...

Sounds more boring than trying to follow the 10 commandments. No thanks, God!

I think that's the only theological musing I can accept in this thread! But, if you studied Aquinas more carefully, you'd know God plays Bubble Shooter, sometimes Frogger in a pinch.

I'd just pick the 10 longest double-albums I could find so I could live longer.

This might be the only thing to actually get me to listen to Tales From Topographic Oceans again!

That's why I chose KC's USA on vinyl. The runoff groove traps the tonearm so that it plays forever.
