I blame Wynton, what was the question?

Aranis were amazing.

Hard to beat my 2012 concert experience - NEARfest and Rush. Anglagard, Aranis, Gosta Berlings, VdGG and Neil in the same summer.

Coming in a bit late, but better late than never.....
Radiohead at The O2 in London were magnificent and awe-inspiring. The two people in front of me weren't familiar with anything later than OK Computer and bitched from time to time, but I loved every minute of it.
Then, as an afterthought, Elbow added an extra London date after selling out The O2, at Wembley Arena. It was wonderful. An arena gig that felt like they were playing at my house. I went home floating on air and full of joy.
The difference is that Radionhead were totally impressive, but Elbow didn't inspire awe, they made me feel good.

The last show I saw that really blew my mind was Dream Theater in a small venue (in Jacksonville, FL). That's been a few years ago now though.

As excellent as many of the bands were at last year's Rosfest, and then Roger Waters winning for the most impressive production ever...
nothing could top the Neal Morse band for me. Their playing, enthusiasm and complete engagement of a live show is on a completely higher level than anything else I've experienced. Top kudos to them!
Anglagrad and Shylock at Gouveia Festival (Portugal)
Aranis and Gosta Berlings Saga at NEARFest
Ian Anderson (Thick As A Brick) Southampton UK
(And not exactly prog but Nightwish, Manchester UK)
Mostly saw the Calprog present shows last year with the exception of Kanas with the Cal State LA orchestra which was a real treat
The others:
Flying Colors
Neal Morse Momentum tour
Shaming of the True (Nick D'Virgilio and Friends)
I had tickets for Alan Holdsworth and Moetar but got sick and couldn't go.
I would suggest seeing the Fourth Dimension. This may be your last chance to see John McLaughlin in the states.
NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF STUPID PEOPLE IN LARGE GROUPS!
Al Doum & The Faryds is who Spacefreak is talking about.
Just spent a week with their "Positive force" album and man this in my opinion is a 5 star Krautrock album. They may call themselves a Psychedelic band with Arabic influences but all I hear is that Krautrock spirit and sound throughout.
