    Much better than that.

I remember particularly liking 'And So To F' on here...a great groove-led track, not dissimilar in feel to something like 'Droned' from PC's 'Face Value'.

Fully Agree. 'And So To F' is absolutely outstanding, and much better than "Droned" ;-).

More easy listening than the 3 first albums, but absolutely worthwhile - its actually 2 bands here, only John Goodsall plays on all tracks.

I prefer it to Masques, (which many here consider a masterpiece).

Yeah, add me to the "And So To F" love train, though "Algon" is a great little fusion instrumental as well.

Not their best album but several gems. "And So To F" is my fave as well. Saw them on this tour at the Tower Theater in Philly. Crappy seats (behind light crew) but great show!

A solid release. As good as anything they recorded.Wish these albums would get the re-mastered treatment.

Percy Jones/Mike Clark are one of my favorite (fusion) rhythm sections.
They're featured on two long, intricate, complex instrumentals on Product.

And So To F.......... is def. my fave on Product. Don't Make Waves though could have been a Genesis song.

I love this album. I don't see how an album like Moroccan Roll gets lauded while this one gets slagged at times. This one and the debut are my favorites.

Love it, and I rate it as all the previous ones, but after this it's game over...

This album is the prime example of how a fusion band can actually break through into the mainstream (though it requires a singer of Phil's caliber).

I recall that "Don't Make Waves" used to get played fairly frequently on FM radio back in the day. "And So To F..." could have been on a Camel album.

Well to some extent Weather Report had already done that with 'Heavy Weather'...really without vocals (unless you count all that shouting on one track!).

Looking around, 'Moroccan Roll' did better than this one. That's probably my own favourite, with the very appealing 'Sun In The Night' and the edgier 'Hate Zone' on it.

Perhaps - when they had that brief flirtation with fusion ca. the "Breathless" album (which sadly also included a couple of "disco-esque" moments too). Camel did employ Phil Collins, on 1979's "I Can See Your House From Here" (recorded just prior to Brand X's US tour), although he's only noticeable here and there (his percussion flourishes are most likely on "Your Love Is Stranger Than Mine" - along with the unrelated Mel Collins -, "Hymn To Her" and "Who We Are").

Moroccan Roll is awesome! Malaga Virgen.OMG that tune kicks major ass. The only BX album I ever thought was less than great is Is There Anything About? Even Percy Jones is quick to dismiss that.

It's not a real album. It's a "contractual obligation" project assembled from leftovers of previous sessions, some dating back to the "Unorthodox Behaviour" era. When it was made, in 1982, the band was no longer a going concern (it ended with the UK tour of Spring 1980 co-headlined with Bruford... which also stopped shortly thereafter) and it fell on Robin Lumley to put it together... and he did what he could.

I saw them at The Venue in Victoria, London on this tour and they were supported by Bruford - what a double bill!!

As a young and relatively new Genesis fan it was thrilling to see Phil wandering around this intimate venue before the Brand X set, sporting a full and bushy beard

Strange - the Brand X/Bruford 1980 UK tour was with Mike Clark on drums, not Collins. Did he play drums on that occasion, just sit in for a tune or two, or was he just there to support his mates ?

This explains a lot. Thank you Calyx.

not saying I hate Moroccan Roll or think its a bad album, but I'd rate it just behind UB, Masques and Product
Compact Disk brought high fidelity to the masses and audiophiles will never forgive it for that
