I have read some bad reviews of the sound quality....Any thoughts???

Sounded fine to my ears, but I still got rid of it because of David Jackson's vocals. They're just about bearable on the studio album, but I found them unlistenable on this one.
Sound quality on mine is terrible, a lot of distortion.
Personally I enjoy this live show more than the LP. I would rate the sound a solid "B" bootleg. But they are all so energetic here. Jackson is screeching like he's gone completely off his rocker, which really suits the music very well.
er LEE Jackson, not David Jackson :-) It's basically mastered from a cassette, there are noise reduction artefacts, the quality is certainly not first class...but I like it nonetheless. There's precious little around by this short-lived band.
Jackson's singing shouldn't be a deterrent for anyone who already likes the studio album or his work with The Nice. And if this is considered "bootleg" quality it would be great if most boots sounded this good.
One is left wondering why the excellent-sounding BBC In Concert from May 1974 wasn't released instead. (It would have been the perfect bonus for a reissue of the album, though, being only 33 minutes long.)

Sometimes true, sometimes totally not. I was very pleased with the Yes Union Tour Collector package for example. Worth every penny. And the ABWH reissue package was very nicely done too.
About some of their other product, like some of the Soft Machine live releases, the less said the better! But even there they released a few really good things like the French TV DVD.
I've got this release.. didn't pay much for it as I recall.. it has sound issues for sure.. but a nice document from this band.. I just checked Amazon.com and you can pick this up with the studio album for around $10 not a bad deal if you need them..
The ABWH reissue seemed nice, but then you find out that, for example, Steve Howe and Tony Levin were not even told about the release, and Howe has a bunch of unreleased stuff he says he'd love to have included which probably won't be released now, least not any time soon. That's Voiceprint for you, and that's without getting into the legal claims over unpaid money.

As it's tangentially relevant here, Voiceprint's Rob Ayling gets a mention in this article about his recently divorced ex-wife:

I'm holding out for the Wilson-mixed 5.1 super-duper walletbuster special anniversary extra adjectives edition.
WAY TOO HOT!!!! There is zero headroom and on every loud crescendo it clips into ridiculous levels. Performance was great, but the sound is atrocious. I doubt I'll ever play it again.
It's better than nothing; I wish there was more by this band.
