Nice shredding from Hillage on the Steinberger! You don't see too many of those these days!

F(*king nice!

I would so happily pay to see that!!!

Gong and the Steve Hillage band is not the same as System 7.
System 7 only came over in 1997 to the US. I doubt they ever will again since techno is just not as popular over here as it is in Europe and Japan. I would love to see System 7 in the dance tent at Coachella one of these years. Its really the only way I see them coming to the US would be part of a festival. such a shame
I really relish the idea of Hillage and System 7 covering this tune. It lacks the menace of John & Co. but it has a nice trippy vibe. I would love to see System 7 and a whole set of their spacey, dancey music in a club.
Awesome! It is heartwarming in 2013 to see what looks like about 1000 kids grooving to the sounds of the MO.
Does anyone know who is the main draw here? Are Rovo big in Japan, as they say? or is it Hillage?
love me some Hillage
all his 70s albums are great!
but man... he has not aged well
check this one out for some cool spaceyness

Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?

Nostalgia, you know, ain't what it used to be. Furthermore, they tells me, it never was.

That was awesome ! I have a live Rovo album that's quite impressive but watching them with Hillage playing MO was such a pleasure.
Hey Hillage looks good to me, he's got to be in his sixties right ?

I caught Hillage's first U.S. techno show at The Limelight in NYC circa 1995. Was an interesting evening. Just him with prerecorded trance/techno beats pulsating. He played a lot of glissando over it, very few times did he solo over the music. Still was a thrill for me back then. He gave out a few vinyl copies of the 777 album.

There's a CD available of Steve Hillage with Rovo, it's live and has meeting of the spirits on it: http://www.amazon.com/Phoenix-Rising...=steve+hillage
Nice clip, thanks. How the hell has he not aged well? At 62, that looks fine to me.

perhaps it was just a shock for me to see him look like that after only ever seeing him on the covers of his albums... he looks like a totally different person!

Haha! Fair enough.
