    21st century metal man

Well, as it's 2013, let's have your 13 fav metal albums per decade of the 21st century.
13 for the first decade 2000-2009. And another 13 for the second decade thus far 2010-2013.
Let your conscience alone decide what is and isn't metal. If it isn't, others will soon let you know

    There are only TWO conditions
    1. Only ONE (studio) album per band - no bootlegs, live albums, compilations.
    2. The album must already have been on public release - so no unreleased albums.

2000-2009 Alph. order only, as I love them all equally:
    Atrox - Orgasm - 2003 (Norway)
Avantasia - The Metal Opera - 2001 (Germany)
    Deathstars - Termination Bliss - 2006 (Sweden)

    Sahg - II - 2008 (Norway)
    Tiamat - Judas Christ - 2002 (Sweden)
Within Temptation - Mother Earth - 2001 (Netherlands)

    2010-2013
Atlantean Kodex - The Golden Bough - 2010 (Germany)
    Avatarium - s/t debut - 2013 (Sweden)

    Doesn't 2000 belong to the 20th century?

I kid, I kid - I, too, am impressed to see Blind Guardian on here - also Edguy!

Want to take this off at a tangent now and focus on 21st century female fronted metal. Here are a few of my favs:

    Huntress - Zenith - from 2013 album.

Arch Enemy - Yesterday is Dead & Gone - from 2011 album

Eluveitie - A Rose for Epona - from 2012 album, very Celtic.

Lacuna Coil - Trip The Darkness - from 2012 album

Cadaveria - Flowers in Fire - from 2012 album

And here's a 25-starter pack if you want more hard rock singing women but don't know many band names. There's plenty of them out there, you just have to look around.
