Who among "US" at PE even LISTENS to AM (talk) radio unless there is an emergency?
I did hear a live version of "Rondo" (also Emerson) on FM radio, and even THAT was a rare spin.
OK, sports fans and a few with strong political beliefs may still listen to AM, but for me, it's just an area of static interference both social and governmental, so Tarkus is quite a surprise.

He plays prog a lot. A month or so ago he played King Crimson-I Talk To The Wind. He also narrates Unsealed:Alien Files. The show is not political, have you never listened to www.coasttocoastam.com before?
Can't say that I have Rand... surfing the wavelengths on FM is as far as I surf...lol.
If I surfed the net for AM radio I might have found it, but there isn't enough time in the day (or days in my life) to add more websites... AND then actually listen to them.
However, www.coasttocoastam.com has been noted for future reference, and ONLY because I heard about it HERE... thanks.
BTW, are there ads (which I avoid) and is it even in stereo?

We have a local show on our AM talk radio that plays bumper music ranging from Tiny Tim to Skrillex and a lot of prog. They even play Glass Hammer now and again.
Likely the early 70s is the last time I heard anything like it on AM. By the '75 that freedom was confined to FM and even then, the only place I could hear anything epic was on our campus radio station.
I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down.'- Bob Newhart
I do, on a daily basis. When WNYC FM (the NPR station) is playing some music thing (which I usually don't want to listen to when I'm doing kitchen stuff), I turn the kitchen radio to WNYC AM, which has a lot of the same programming as WNYC but usually keeps it to the talk radio.
Also, on Sunday nights WNYC AM airs that crazy show where the guy reads bad fiction to psychedelic and funk music. I listen to that fairly often, but can never remember his name because I always come in when it's in progress. Fred someone?
I just realized that parts of Tarkus sound like when there was a fight going on on Lost in Space.
Rand, I think your AM radio has a virus
“Pleasure and pain can be experienced simultaneously,” she said, gently massaging my back as we listened to her Coldplay CD.
